Balloons

The last day my mom went outside was to watch the hot air balloons from the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta drift by her home. ALS had it's grip on her and it wasn't letting go. She seemed to ignore her plight and revel in the beauty of the moment. The world stopped spinning briefly. Life was never sweeter. I hold on to the image of the morning she sat in her wheelchair and ate her favorite breakfast with her feeble hands. The day is still alive in me, it always will be.

I learned not long ago I was selected to paint the image for the 2008 Poster for the Balloon Fiesta. Five years will have passed since the morning my mom breathed the crisp outdoor air. I am painting the image in her home, just 10 feet or so from where she last sat on her porch. It is the essence of her spirit I will launch this year in the paint, in the poster, in the sky.

You're quite welcome my brother. Many moons ago we united as brothers to shoot, not bullets at one another, but cameras...back in the wild West days you and I would've been shot full of lead and dead.

Fast forward

You know of my back story, so I will spare you from my painful past, but I was certainly given a second chance at life, and I am totally grateful to my Creator. If you recall, I mentioned that our coming together, to make I Am, was more spiritual than anything. I believe that you felt the same way.

Not only that, Mr. Coppola was so inspired, he went on to create PAH Nation.

Today, peoples from all walks, are coming together as you and I did many moons ago.

Since you are the Freedom Eagle from I Am, I would be honored to have you post on my new site, that's powered by PAH Nation. Also, I hope to showcase your art as time goes on. Maybe you can create a small token to be sold as a contribution to PAH. I am sure Mr. Coppola would be as honored as I, to showcase your art during PAH Festivals. Either way, I leave that decision up to you. I come today out of respect for my brother.

Today, precious souls know your brother as the Hobo Prophet, please flap your wings and fly over. http://pahnation.com/blogshobo/

Many Blessings,

Brother Doug (Hobo Prophet)

Brother Hobo Prophet,

This small film contains a lot of heart and continues its thunderous beat. It was an honor to work with you and Christopher in the hot New Mexico rail yard.

Walk on,
Rhett
