Spring

Spring is hope. Buds swell and ache to bloom. Tan becomes green. Birds gossip. There is a busyness in nature we all appreciate. It makes us feel good. Spring is exciting. People make plans in spring. The heavens open and new life presents itself.

In the spring, ideas for creating explode in my imagination like popping corn. At first, I try to write it all down so I won't forget. A futile effort I soon realize. Years of incomplete lists are tucked away in filing cabinets, many cover pages in sketch books, some float around the studio on scrap paper like dandelions in the wind, others are written and fading on table tops or hidden by dribbles of paint, many are lost. Caging ideas in a list quickly makes them stale. Popcorn is best eaten warm.

You're quite welcome. I actually need to thank you Rhett. I am prayerful that we will have better days ahead so thank you for being a brother. You speak from the heart and from your own experiences, it takes great courage to share ones life.

I hope one day to explain the entire meaning of I Am Film. Some people did not get it. I could have written a murder story, but a greater force than I moved me, in fact, 1 month to the making of our film, the tools were set in mankind; and Katrina slammed us. FYI: Upon prayer I had a vision of children crying. This experience went into I Am. I also sketched a rainbow... Did you know that a rainbow appeared at the final scene of I Am? That rainbow was used in Sympathy for the Devil.

In 2005 I wondered why I got this gig...Down deep I knew... but I am no longer in wonderment. Although I need to bridle my emotions because people will think I am a crack-pot. As I said 2 years ago, time will time will most assuredly prove I Am Film's message. I no longer have to say another word, it's already taken a life of its own. Thank you brother. There was a time when our peoples would fight with guns - now we make peace, shooting cameras. This is much better. We shall live to see more rainbows.

Many blessings,

Doug

Oh! Thanks Rhett. I am happy you saw that. Pretty cool, eh?

Rhett~~

Wonderful expression of spring !!! Currently, the snow has almost melted in Massachusetts and is mixing with the earth. The scent of spring is indeed in the air. Early flowers are waking up, pushing themselves from the earth to share their beauty after a long rest. Birds are waking me earlier each morning with their secret chatter. Change is in the air and nature is expressing it.
